Movie art serves a variety of purposes: It might capture our attention at the theater, flit across Twitter or a website as part of an advertisement, or serve as a reimagining of the film’s themes upon its eventual physical release. At Mubi, designer and writer Adrian Curry has compiled a list of the 10 best movie posters of the year, and they serve as a reminder that one need not wait until a Criterion re-release to see a film commemorated with a great piece of design.
