Here are (most of) the Best Song nominees performing live at the Oscars
Though it wasn’t as thrilling as the drama surrounding its lack of host, the Academy Awards ceremony generated some bonus controversy with the announcement that the only Best Song nominees that would be performed at the Oscars would be “Shallow” from A Star Is Born and “All The Stars” from Black Panther. After everyone got mad that the Academy was clearly playing favorites with the two most popular songs in the category, it backed down and agreed to allow all five nominees perform live… and then the Academy announced that Kendrick Lamar and SZA would not be performing “All The Stars” at all due to some kind of timing issue.
