Here are some pics from an upcoming Tarantino vs. Coen brothers art show

Pop-culture-inspired art shows have become a growing trend of late. It makes sense—artists enjoy Ghostbusters or Mr. Show just as much as the rest of us, and the built-in receptive audience for works based on popular films doesn't hurt. At their best, these shows pay tribute to great visual stylists by reinterpreting or commenting on their work. And even at their worst, they can produce some striking images of beloved characters.

The latest such show is Spoke Arts in San Francisco’s upcoming “Quentin vs. Coen,” featuring artistic tributes to the work of Quentin Tarantino and Joel and Ethan Coen. Below, you can see some samples of the works that will be on display, from artists Mainger Germain, Rich Pellegrino, Cuddly Rigor Mortis, and Bruce White. You can see even more on the show’s Facebook page.
