Here are the first official photos of Dolph Lundgren in Kindergarten Cop 2
It was confirmed this summer that news of a Kindergarten Cop sequel was not just a rumor (or, for that matter, a toomah), and that erstwhile Expendable Dolph Lundgren would succeed fellow behemoth Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role. Now, on the 25th anniversary of the debut of the original, we have few more details on the film, as well as official photos from the set. We’ve learned that Lundren will play Agent Reed, who is sent into the world of nap time and sharing to recover a stolen flash drive that contains sensitive information about the Witness Protection Program. He’ll also have trouble with the school’s “politically correct environment,” presumably to reflect how times have changed in kindergarten classrooms, which used to be real cesspools.
As you can see in the main image, Kindergarten Cop 2 will feature Lundgren needing an armed guard to get the children to and from class, or maybe just to get to the set (we don’t know where the movie’s being filmed). There’s also this image of a screaming and/or frightened Lundgren, who’s presumably in character and reacting to the horrors of being around so many children. Or, they could all be playing some kind of game—it’s hard to tell. There’s also a picture of Lundgren wearing a feather boa and being made uncomfortable by a hug from a small child, who presumably hasn’t yet learned to keep his hands to himself in the imaginary, politically-correct world of Kindergarten Cop 2.
