Here is video of SpongeBob SquarePants getting beaten up then detained by the cops

In what should prove to be cathartic release for millions of parents, here is video of two women beating the crap out of SpongeBob SquarePants in front of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood—like previous run-ins with characters such as Batman, just because they found him annoying. The trio was briefly detained by LAPD officers, but all were let go after questioning. Notice that “SpongeBob” maintains that voice even while trash-talking, though presumably he adopted a more serious tone for the police. The incident comes only a week after Gumby’s botched attempt to rob a 7-11, which suggests life is slowly turning into a YouTube parody of itself. [via L.A. Times, TMZ]
