Here’s a trailer for the nonexistent movie Hidden Fences courtesy of The Late Show

During the Golden Globes’ festivities both Jenna Bush Hager and Michael Keaton accidentally spoke of Hidden Fences. In doing so, they combined the titles of Hidden Figures and Fences, nominated films which both happen to star black actors. Now The Late Show has done what we should have assumed was inevitable and made a trailer for this nonexistent awards contender that’s “based on the true story of people who think all movies about black people are the same movie.”

The Hidden Fences trailer mashes up footage and employs some dubbing to tell its tale of an actual fence heroically trying to go to space. “If movies starring black people confuse you, then this is the film you’ve got to see,” the voiceover informs. If the Globes were any indication, we expect it to lead next year’s Oscar race.
