Well, that didn’t take long. A scant 24 hours after Chris Pratt proved his hip-hop bona fides by reciting the entirety of Eminem’s verse from “Forgot About Dre” in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on SiriusXM, an intrepid video editor has spliced Pratt’s vocals into the original backing track.
The video’s creator, Reddit user TreyTech, “spent a long time splitting and time stretching Pratt’s vocals to line up exactly with the Eminem vocals,” but the results are pretty perfect.
Pratt is clearly in the midst of the can-do-no-wrong phase of his career, and he’s already proven he has some serious vocal chops, so maybe an album of actual music in the future isn’t that far-fetched. Call it Sudden Death, perhaps.
