Here’s every time Daffy Duck laughed maniacally
Long before Imperial Teen or The 5,6,7,8s, Daffy Duck was the one who “woo-hooed.” As part of living up to his moniker, he would bounce about and let loose a manic noise as he frantically made his escape from whatever adversary he was antagonizing in that particular Looney Tunes short. And now there’s a compilation of every instance of this insane cackle for those that are interested in animation history, don’t mind the repetitive sound of a woo-hooing duck, and/or have over 13 minutes to spare.
YouTube user ibcf’s video isn’t just from the early days of Warner animation, with various versions of Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd pursuing the mentally disturbed mallard, but stretches beyond into more recent decades with scenes from Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Space Jam, Looney Tunes: Back In Action, and Cartoon Network’s The Looney Tunes Show also added to the mix. That’s about 70 years of material to sift through to find these episodes of a duck going bananas in a very idiosyncratic way. It’s interesting to see the various forms Daffy has taken over the year, with different animators and animation techniques rendering his character, as well as the subtle nuances that each voice actor after Mel Blanc lent to this signature moment of mania.
