Much like Rocky Balboa in Rocky Balboa, the Jason Bourne we see in this Super Bowl ad for Jason Bourne (the official name for the latest entry in the Bourne series) is a guy who gets dragged back into a life of punching people just when he thought he had finally escaped it for good. They’re not exactly the same, because Rocky Balboa was a boxer and Jason Bourne was an expertly trained spy guy with no memory, but there is definitely a lot of punching in this teaser. In fact, as tenuous as its connection to Rocky Balboa may be, it is undeniable that the level of punching in this teaser is significant. Why is there so much punching? What’s Jason Bourne been up to since his last movie? We don’t know that yet, but we do know that Vincent Cassel will play the bad guy who has been hired to track down/kill Bourne in this installment. He’s definitely going to get punched, though.
