Game Of Thrones has a lot of fun with unlikely team-ups, from Jaime Lannister and Brienne Of Tarth becoming besties to Arya Stark and The Hound begrudgingly bonding. But it turns out there’s a real-life duo that beats them all: The Mountain and his teeny-tiny Pomeranian, Asterix. Strongman/actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, best known for playing The Mountain on Game Of Thrones, posted an Instagram video documenting his cardio workout with his 12-week-old puppy. It’s easily the most adorable thing to come out of Game Of Thrones this side of Maisie Williams.
In between workout videos and meal photos, Björnsson frequently posts pictures with his pups on his Instagram page. Even better, however, is the fact that Asterix has an Instagram page run from his perspective as well, where he talks about loving his “parents” and, of course, enjoying Game Of Thrones.
In other words, it turns out Björnsson is just like the rest of us when it comes to being obsessed with his pets. When it comes to eating, lifting weights, and breaking thousand-year-old records, however, the 27-year-old remains in a class all by himself.
