Here’s when you’ll be able to see Scream Queens, Empire, other Fox shows this fall

As heralded by the sound of Ryan Murphy breaking new subgenre ground and the eagerly beating wings of digital press releases, Fox has announced its fall premiere dates for the 2015-16 season. After ushering in the broadcast year with a telecast of the Andy Samberg-hosted 67th Primetime Emmy Awards, the network will begin rolling out a programming slate that includes previously announced freshman series Scream Queens, Minority Report, Rosewood, Grandfathered, and The Grinder, as well as returning shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine (hey, there’s Andy Samberg again!), Bob’s Burgers, and Sleepy Hollow. After witnessing Murphy’s ability to simultaneously elicit laughter and terror with American Horror Story, Fox is showing a tremendous display of confidence in his ability to do so intentionally, booking a two-hour series premiere for Scream Queens on September 22. The fall lineup keeps New Girl fans waiting to witness the marriage of Cece and Schmidt (they’ve held on for four years—what’s a few more months?), but 2015 midseason sensations Empire and The Last Man On Earth will each debut their second seasons in late September.
