This year’s edition of the sacred MSTie tradition known as Turkey Day should be an especially festive affair, considering that the Kickstarter to fund a new season of MST3K has already exceeded its $2 million goal with 22 days left to go in the campaign. Thus, MST3K creator Joel Hodgson will carve up six juicy, tender classic episodes of the show beginning at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT next Thursday, AD. As it has for the past two years, the marathon will be presented by Shout! Factory, and live-streamed through the web portal at www.BringBackMST3K.com.
Hodgson is still being coy about what those titles will be, although last year’s marathon featured Magic Voyage Of Sinbad, Giant Spider Invasion, Lost Continent, Laserblast, Pod People, and Pumaman, so it won’t be any of those. This year’s Turkey Day will also bring back the tradition of sharing fan mail submissions, so send your poems, letters, drawings, songs, photos, or interpretive dances expressing your gratitude for MST3K to [email protected] before Wednesday, November 25th at 5 p.m. ET, and they might be shared on the MST3K social channels during the marathon.
