Here’s your first look at the adult Harry from the new Harry Potter play

London theater-goers are just a week away from the first preview shows for Harry Potter And The Cursed Child, J.K. Rowling’s stage-based journey into the ongoing adventures of The Boy Who Lived. Now, Rowling’s Pottermore site has released the first glimpses of the adult Potter family, showing off actors Poppy Miller, Sam Clemmett, and a scar-toting Jamie Parker in the roles of Ginny, Albus, and Harry Potter.

You might remember Albus—Harry and Ginny’s second son—from the epilogue of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, in which Rowling promised “All was well.” That seems to have turned out to be not entirely true, though, what with the previous descriptions of Harry as an “overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic,” the threats of “darkness” coming from unexpected places, and, of course, all those children and the curses they just can’t shake.

Pottermore is promising more pictures from the two-part production in the coming days, so stay tuned for even more shots of your favorite characters, ravaged by a dark magic even more lethal than the deadly Avada Kedavra: getting old. Fingers crossed for a drunken Neville Longbottom, maybe, or the sight of what long years of marriage to Ron Weasley have done to snuff out the light behind Hermoine Granger’s bright and inquisitive eyes.
