Benjamin Moore, a PhD student in computational biology at the University Of Edinburgh, has put together a chart of the most overrated and underrated movies of all time. Moore used data from Rotten Tomatoes, pulling audience ratings and critical ratings for over 1200 movies. By and large, critical and audience reception of a film generally overlapped, with some notable exceptions. For instance, while critics hated Grandma’s Boy and Empire Records, fans felt differently.
