Just about a year after FXX announced that it was bringing TV’s rockiest, most dysfunctional love story to an end, the network has released a trailer for the fifth and final season of You’re The Worst. The trailer, which leans into the messiness that has brought Aya Cash’s Gretchen and Chris Geere’s Jimmy to the beginnings of wedded bliss (?) and a happy (?) ending, has all the unexpected sex, surprise punches, and shocking stability that fans have come to expect from You’re The Worst over the previous four seasons, and this one even has a high-tech toilet. Along with the trailer, FXX also announced the premiere date for season five of You’re The Worst: January 9, 2019.
That may seem really far away, but that’s only because there’s a big election tomorrow. Just wait, and this TV show you like will be over before you know it!
