Arguably the highlight of any Community season—or at least, the earliest highlight—is the Halloween episode, when the comedy uses the holiday as an opportunity to break free from its strict, naturalistic style and just do something fun and high-concept. Ha, it’s funny because it’s a total inversion of Community’s normal approach to things. Anyway, here’s your first, exclusive look at the opening scene from this year’s entry into an enviably strong pantheon of Halloween shows, “Horror Fiction In Seven Spooky Steps.” Here newly declared psychology major Britta discovers that someone in the group has “homicidal tendencies,” which leads to she and Jeff persuading the group to share their own horror stories in order to expose the crazy person.
