Here's the exclusive premiere of a new song off Less Than Jake's upcoming ninth album

Less Than Jake has been playing ska for over 20 years now. That’s long enough for the wave of '90s ska nostalgia to crest and give bands like No Doubt and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones a resurgence. But LTJ never broke up—and drummer Vinnie Fiorello even co-founded Fueled By Ramen, which incubated the next wave of pop rock that surged into the new millennium—so the band kept chugging along, putting out ska records to a core audience. With the high water mark for stereotypical “'90s kids”—the Good Burger soundtrack, ladies and gentlemen—way back in the rearview mirror, Less Than Jake is now prepping its ninth record See The Light, out on Fat Wreck Chords November 12. The group debuted the first track “My Money Is On The Long Shot” at Noisey, but The A.V. Club has the premiere of another song, “Give Me Something To Believe In.” It’s got that easily recognizable guitar rhythm, horns, and a hopeful message about finally breaking out of lethargy. That’s ska in a nutshell right there, and standard bearers like Less Than Jake should know.
