Grant Gustin—who already has a perfectly good comic-book alter ego name—will play Barry Allen, who enters the Arrow’s world as an ordinary, everyday police forensic investigator who looks like he’s all of 16, as he delves into a series of robberies that could be connected to a tragedy in his past. In a meta twist, this Flash is described as an Arrow-obsessed “comic book fan boy,” suggesting the first episode of his new series will see him on the Internet, complaining that some kid from Glee is playing The Flash.
