Although Dan Harmon has said for years that Bill Murray would be his dream casting for the oft-mentioned role of Jeff Winger's estranged dad on Community, Dan Harmon is no longer involved with Community (perhaps you've heard repeatedly!) and so it's gonna be James Brolin. Entertainment Weekly grabbed the exclusive report that the man who rose to television fame on Marcus Welby M.D. before becoming better known for being married to Barbra Streisand and fathering Josh Brolin will return to both TV and being known through filial relationships by playing William Winger, reuniting with Jeff in a sure-to-be-initially-awkward-yet-eventually-sentimental Thanksgiving episode. "You're not my Bill Murray!" fans will scream, but come on now, let's give your Uncle James a chance.
