Courtesy of the show’s Facebook page, here’s your first listen of what the Fred Armisen-led band for Late Night With Seth Meyers will sound like—particularly when it’s just sort of dicking around, perhaps playing into and out of commercials. And as you might expect (if you didn’t expect something more along the lines of Ian Rubbish), it sounds an awful lot like a band comprised of members of Les Savy Fav and Girls Against Boys: tense, wiry, and post-punk-influenced, and really, a lot like Les Savy Fav with a nattily dressed Fred Armisen out front instead of a sweaty and shirtless Tim Harrington. Though here’s hoping Harrington comes crashing in from the rafters on at least one future episode.
