Here's your chance to see some rare footage of Jane Goodall
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Monday, March 12. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Jane (Nat Geo Wild, NGC, 8 p.m.): There have been a number of Jane Goodall documentaries, but Brett Morgen’s Jane is the first to have a real narrative. As The A.V. Club’s Mike D’Angelo noted in his review last year, Morgen has pieced together an ersatz biopic using reels of rare footage, which were only recently rediscovered in the National Geographic archives. And he didn’t even have to go through the tricky process of finding the right actress to play the world’s foremost expert on chimpanzees. Here’s an exclusive clip of Jane; you can catch the world television premiere tonight on Nat Geo Wild or National Geographic Channel.
