Hey college football fans, Showtime is throwing Dexter and Homeland-themed tailgate parties, finally
It's college football season, and as we all know, college football season goes hand in hand with tailgating parties. Also, intense cable dramas about serial killing and terrorism, which is why Showtime has finally hit upon the idea to combine all of those complementary things into The Showtime Tailgate Tour, hitting various campuses this fall and finally bringing the fun of watching Dexter and Homeland to the big game, where they belong. From Sept. 20 to Oct. 13, college football fans from Washington D.C. to Chicago can look for the Showtime Tailgate Tour Truck for all of their pre-game enjoyment, including free face-painting in their school colors, contests where they can win Showtime prizes, and, of course, discussions of the ambiguity of morality as it pertains to murdering in the service of a larger cause. Plus, snow cones—or "SHO-cones"—that are somehow also Dexter– and Homeland-themed snow cones, such as being symbolically drenched in sacrificial blood-colored syrup, or in the Dexter snow cones' case, impossible to finish. "Dude, hurry up and get to the Showtime truck! We're playing Homeland trivia and pounding snow cones!"—a text that will soon be sent from one college football fan to another.
