Hey, it’s Labor Day, the annual day when the American workforce calls in “sick” en masse, declaring that it deserves this, okay? As The A.V. Club is also an American industry—never mind some technicalities involving that tax shelter in the Caymans—we are also taking the day off. (Indeed, we’re so taking it off, we almost totally forgot to post this message!) Anyway, we won’t be updating Newswire today barring anything major, but we do have a few things around for you to peruse while we’re gone, including a Labor Day-appropriate look at weird births, and we’ll be back tomorrow rested, energized, and ready to work in accordance with the regulations that dictate the terms of our employment.
