Hockey still violent, kind of gross in the red-band trailer for Goon 2

2011’s Goon was a surprisingly successful merger of a standard sports movie and a violent, fart-filled frat comedy, buoyed along by Seann William Scott’s undervalued charms. Now, Scott is bringing grinning hockey enforcer Doug “The Thug” Glatt back to theaters, with Goon 2: Last Of The Enforcers scheduled to pummel its way into theaters in March 2017.

Co-star Jay Baruchel is directing this time, taking over for Michael Dowse. Going off of the red-band trailer for the movie, released today, Baruchel’s take on the material seems even raunchier, louder, and less appropriate than what’s come before, with plenty of jokes about eating semen, and a lot of ostensibly hilarious faux-sexual assault between burly hockey players to remind you why the movie might be rated R.
