News came last year that Adaptation/Being John Malkovich/Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind writer Charlie Kaufman will make his first turn as a director on Synecdoche, New York (which he also wrote), and, happily, an interesting cast is shaping up. The Hollywood Reporter names Philip Seymour Hoffman (whose casting was reported last year), Catherine Keener, and Samantha Morton as cast members, as well as Brokeback Mountain's Michelle Williams (also previously reported) and Adaptation's Tilda Swinton. Longtime Kaufman collaborator Spike Jonze is one of the film's producers.
