As Henry Cavill squares off against Ben Affleck in Man Of Steel 2: If You’re Thinkin’ About My Baby, It Don’t Matter If You’re Black Or White Or Batman, numerous others will vie for their attention—including Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and, if there’s time, returning Man Of Steel characters played by Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane. Still, there’s always plenty of room for new people who can be put at risk for being crushed to death, so the project has also added 300: Rise Of An Empire’s Callan Mulvey, The Wolverine’s Tao Okamoto, and Oscar favorite Holly Hunter, all portraying “characters never before seen in the DC Comics universe,” according to Entertainment Weekly. Of course, this also seems like just the sort of misdirection we’ve come to expect from Warner Bros.—leading us to believe Holly Hunter is clearly playing Martian Manhunter, whose powers of shapeshifting and superhuman endurance should be all too familiar to the star of Broadcast News.
