Honey Rockwell, real-life b-girl from the Bronx, is suing Honey filmmakers 10 years after Jessica Alba attempted to portray a dance instructor. Similar to the time J Lo was sued for her music video “I’m Glad” by the real inspiration behind Flashdance, Rockwell is pissed someone’s passing off her moves (and her name, ethnicity, occupation, and the very dance studio she taught in) as their own without permission and is demanding a piece of the $70 million pie Honey and Honey 2 netted.
Best of luck to her, as it seems the biggest hurdle will be convincing the court either of these abysmal films actually exist.
