Hopkins' film experiment gets distro'd
Not that everything involving Anthony Hopkins is always automatically good, but Slipstream, an experimental film Hopkins wrote, directed, and starred in, warrants at least some curiosity. It's headed for theaters and video after some success on the festival circuit. It's the story of a screenwriter going mad, and, appropriately, it's also Hopkins' screenwriting debut. Co-stars include John Turturro, Christian Slater, and Camryn Manheim—doesn't that random-ass cast alone make it intriguing? (Hollywood Reporter)
