Hugh Jackman gives up playing cosmetics salesman to focus on Wolverine

Perhaps hoping to reclaim the comic-book franchise before Ryan Reynolds slides in all, “Oh, I didn’t think you were using it,” Hugh Jackman has set his sights on filming a Wolverine sequel next year, and recently dropped out of the Fox comedy Avon Man to focus on getting back into fighting shape. Jackman was originally slated to play a charismatic laid-off car salesman who’s forced to make ends meet by turning to a (surprisingly successful) career selling cosmetics. Instead, Jackman plans to spend the fall training to reprise his X-Men role while Christopher McQuarrie finishes the script, which is described only as “a samurai story set in Japan.” In the meantime, Avon Man needs a replacement lead. Hey, what about Ryan Reynolds?
