Hulu says yes to more Mindy Project, The Path, and Triumph The Insult Comic Dog
A year after rescuing the show from cancelation after Fox dumped its stuff out onto the proverbial curb, Hulu has decided to renew its commitment to The Mindy Project. The streaming service has renewed the show for another season, Deadline reports, its second in the cord-cutting realm and its fifth overall. The news comes a little more than halfway through the show’s fourth season, indicating that the streaming gods are pleased with the ratings performance of Mindy Kaling and the gang.
This news is just one of several renewal and new pickup announcements Hulu made this morning: According to Deadline, the service has also ordered a second season of its critically-acclaimed cult drama The Path, also midway through its current season and starring Aaron Paul, Michelle Monaghan, and Hugh Dancy. On top of that, it‘s ordered an election special from Triumph The Insult Comic Dog (and his pal Robert Smigel), following up on the presidential primary special featuring the foul-mouthed canine it aired back in February. Now all that’s left is the crossover episode…
