Hylian hipsters can get the Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time soundtrack on vinyl
Whether or not The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is a good game might be up for debate, but even the rare Nintendo fan who isn’t easily swayed by nostalgia can probably admit that it had a really fun soundtrack. Now, to celebrate the music of Ocarina Of Time, a group called Materia Collective (which is a reference to a different game) has teamed up with funky video game merchandise store iam8bit for a new vinyl version of the Ocarina soundtrack. Titled Hero Of Time, the album will feature Koji Kondo’s original score re-recorded by a 64-piece orchestra—because the original was a Nintendo 64 game.
This comes from IGN, which says pre-orders for the special vinyl set will open on December 9, and the actual thing will be available early next year. IGN also has preview images of the art, which was done by a guy named Ryan Brinkerhoff and looks a lot more stylish than the actual game ever did:
