I Am Legend predicted the combination Superman/Batman movie back in 2007
The big news from the final day of Comic-Con was Warner Bros.' planned Zack Snyder-directed Superman/Batman team-up. The news came as a bit of a surprise, as the studio’s plan seemed to point at a Justice League film next, but that's now getting bumped a few years down the pipeline. But I Am Legend, Warner Bros.’ financially successful if disappointing adaptation of Richard Matheson’s novel, serendipitously pointed the way to the superhero partnership all the way back in 2007. In a clip that’s been popping up all over the place, as Will Smith traverses empty New York, there’s a Batman/Superman billboard in Times Square. It's not exactly a great omen for the project, but a fun coincidence nonetheless, and another clue to add to the mounting evidence that Will Smith is a witch who has all the answers. Fans could go scour Smith's previous Warner Bros. film Wild Wild West for more clues, but they'd only discover that yes, that really is Kenneth Branagh.
