I Am The Night visits a “happening,” where a whole hell of a lot happens

I Am The Night (TNT, 9 p.m.): There’s no shortage of weirdness in I Am The Night, but “Matador” ups the weirdness factor considerably. It’s also a great episode for Chris Pine, who’s been good in even the more uneven episodes of the show so far; in this one, he gets somehow even wilder around the eyes.

There’s also a few scenes in which Connie Nielsen (also of Wonder Woman) dishes up what we can only describe as high drag. There’s a makeup mirror and everything. All of this happens at a “happening,” an event that proves very eventful. Come for Chris Pine serving some crazy eyes, stay for everything else, chase with Noel Murray’s recap.
