ICP forced to cancel show due to “a dispute over Faygo”

The Dark Carnival has hit an unfortunate, beverage-related hiccup, with the Insane Clown Posse announcing that they were forced to cancel a show last night owing to “a dispute over Faygo.” Specifically, over the group’s right to douse any venue at which they perform in showers of the Detroit-based carbonated elixir, a liquid which forms a key part of their complicated mythology. (According to the group’s Twitter account, they travel with a semi-truck full of the stuff.)

The operators of the North Park Observatory—who maybe don’t get out on the internet much, we’re guessing—were apparently unaware of this prerequisite to becoming a key cog in the monsterclown music scene, and refused to allow the group their necessary caffeinated ablution. (This, despite protests clearly labeling them as “the staleness” in the ICP’s nuanced hierarchy of moral acts.)

Disappointed fans should rest assured that it broke Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope’s wicked hearts to cancel the show, and that the magnet-agnostic duo are doing everything in their power to make things both “dope” and “fresh” for the Juggalo hordes. Refunds are being issued for the canceled show, including for VIP packages; the group’s web site also assured its Very Important customers that they’ll still be receiving their “limited VIP commemorative tour amulet,” a magical talisman that entitles the wearer to an immediate expulsion from the McDonald’s job interview of their choice.
