As promised, Columbia Pictures has just released a full trailer for Nikolaj Arcel’s adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower series. The film stars Idris Elba as Roland Deschain, a gunslinger sworn to protect his world from well, just about anything, but at the moment, the biggest threat is coming from Matthew McConaughey’s Man In Black and his minions. But after Jake (Tom Taylor) crosses over from Earth, Roland’s also got to look after his newest member of his ka-tet. Their odds don’t look too good, but neither did the film’s release over the last couple decades since the first book was published, and now it’s due out on August 4, so really, anything could happen.
