Idris Elba on tackling DJing, relationships, and parenting with Turn Up Charlie

Co-created by Idris Elba, the new Netflix comedy Turn Up Charlie centers on Charlie, “a struggling DJ and eternal bachelor, who is given a final chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a ‘manny’ to his famous best friend’s problem-child daughter.” Ahead of the 8-episode first season hitting Netflix this Friday, we sat down with Elba to talk about the series.
