If you can find racist robots in Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, Michael Bay will give you $25,000
Michael Bay has once again taken arms against a sea of Internet morons, and by opposing them, ended the speculation that his new Transformers film would feature the shuck-and-jive stylings of racist caricature-bots Mudflaps and Skids. While he already addressed this a year ago—long before the trailer confirmed that there wouldn’t be time for clownin’, son, in the midst of all the conspiracy theories and terrorism allegories—apparently there are still some who have insisted that they glimpsed the twins acting a robo-fool both in set pictures and in the previews, including one guy who alluded to their presence in an early review.
Not so, says Bay, and if you don’t believe him, he’s offering a $25,000 reward to anyone who can spot Mudflaps and/or Skids in the finished film. However, keep in mind that the arrangement doesn’t extend to the trailer, because as Bay points out, “Trailer houses sometimes use shots that are not in the movie! End [of] story I’m done wasting my time [on] this!” You also shouldn’t confuse Mudflap or Skids with the other Tom Kenny-voiced Transformer—the tough-talkin’, leg-humpin’ Wheelie—whose delightful, similarly “streetwise” comic relief is really the only reward you need.
