Confirming that, hey, there just might be something to this podcast-turned-TV-show game, IFC is doubling down on a second season of Comedy Bang! Bang!, ordering 20 episodes of the deconstructed talk show starring Scott Aukerman and Reggie Watts. That’s twice as many episodes for one of 2012’s best TV shows, which can only mean twice the chances to be one of the highlights of the 2013 season. The only foreseeable downside: How will the show fill out its guest roster when its recurring players are so regularly picked off for their own cable series, network shows, and Night At The Museum sequels? Paul F. Tompkins can only impersonate so many blustery showbiz types, after all.
