Nominees for the 2007 Ignatz Awards for "outstanding achievement in comics and cartooning" have been announced. As usual, the excellent alternative publishers Fantagraphics and Drawn & Quarterly have swept most of the categories. Winners will be announced at the Small Press Expo in Bethesda, Maryland, next month. Regardless of who takes home the honors this time around, the Ignatzes always provide a handy checklist of comics that any fan of the medium should be caught up on.
