In post-Soviet Russia, Local H's Scott Lucas gets choked, knocked out, and robbed

Local H is back on the road after having to cancel a number of tour dates, due to the rather vicious beating frontman Scott Lucas took while on the road in Russia last month. Lucas suffered vocal cord damage after he was jumped from behind in a stairwell in Moscow. According to the “Bound For The Floor” singer, he was put “in a chokehold until I passed out," then woke up with "all of my pockets empty. No phone, no wallet, no cash, and (worst of all) no passport. Nothing. Even my hat and glasses were gone.

Lucas then found that he couldn’t speak and, after returning to the States, he used the Grammy’s MusiCares program to find a specialist to help him repair his vocal cords.

Local H is currently on tour in support of The Another February EP, which came out earlier this year. Lucas’ other band, Scott Lucas And The Married Men, will be out on the road later this month. Dates for both acts are below.
