Senior editors Sean O’Neal and John Teti check in on Silicon Valley for DVR Club today, and last night’s housebound episode, “Server Space,” has our editors divided. It was John’s favorite episode of the season, but Sean is less enamored: As he points out, every problem that Pied Piper faced at the beginning of the episode is resolved by the end, making this an unusually self-contained affair that doesn’t generate much momentum for the back half of the season. But Sean is happier with Gavin Belson’s sitting technique, and everyone can agree that a cybernetically enhanced masturbating monkey is a big step forward for technological comedy.
