Issa Rae knows Insecure fans have been curious and impatient as fuck about the second season of her award-winning series. So she took to Instagram to field a couple of the internet’s most burning questions, including when we can expect to see the fallout of Issa and Lawrence’s (Jay Ellis) falling out, as well as catch up with Molly (Yvonne Orji).
Rae declined to comment on Molly and Issa’s relationship statuses, but watching the two best friends navigate the dating scene sounds delightful, because Rae and her showrunner Prentice Penny are bound to put a hilarious new twist on single women in the city. Rae did dish on Lawrence’s hotness, as well as the season two premiere date, which is set for July 23. She promises a “happier, better, stronger” version of the show, or maybe of Issa, who was left brokenhearted at the end of season one.
