Instead of making a new Outkast record, Big Boi is designing socks

While fellow Outkast member André 3000 is off making movies about Jimi Hendrix that don’t feature any actual Hendrix music, Big Boi’s found himself his own dubious project: designing and releasing his own line of socks. In a recent interview with GQ, the rapper proclaimed himself “the sock king,” and said that his line—which is in conjunction with the Crooks And Castles label—should be available soon. Combined with André 3000’s movie career and undoubtedly heavy workload as the face of the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Styler, Big Boi's sock line is yet another reason why the public won’t see a new Outkast record any time soon. Luckily, Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors, Big Boi’s latest solo record, is due out this November.
