Vampire Lestat releases song of the summer entrant in season three teaser
The new season will adapt Anne Rice’s 1985 book, The Vampire Lestat, which sees the beloved bloodsucker awaken from his ancient slumber to join a local rock band.
AMCFar be it from us to tell AMC Networks how to do its job. Thus far, they’ve successfully turned Anne Rice’s Interview With The Vampire into a rousing success for their cable network, offering a way out of the Walking Dead hole it dug for itself. But asking an actual vampire to promote the third season of Interview With The Vampire might have been a mistake. It’s not like they’re having zombies do press for Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon—The Book Of Carol, which was recently renewed for an alleged new season. Nevertheless, we hope the crew for the interview shoot is well-insured.
Doing his duty to get the word about the next season of Vampire, Lestat (Sam Reid) sat for another interview just for Comic-Con. Within moments of his appearance, he clocks a dehydrated sound guy, gives the director a coughing fit, and seemingly puts anyone who’s watching under his vampire spell. Well, for that, he let the music do the talking.
The new season will adapt Anne Rice’s 1985 book, The Vampire Lestat, which sees the beloved bloodsucker awaken from his ancient slumber to join a local rock band. As if to prove Lestat is no poseur, AMC also released a lyric video for “Long Face,” the first single from Lestat de Lioncourt. Yeah, we’ll see how long Lestat’s band lasts when the bass player suggests wearing the shirt of the band to the gig. If Loveburger couldn’t survive it, who could?
There’s no release date for the new season. Season two, which teased the birth of rocker Lestat in the finale, ended in June this year.
