As it begins the second half of the latest season, the most popular show on cable is scrambling to regain the attention of viewers put off by the messy, depressing, and downright unpleasant first half that aired late last year. As Rick and his crew start trying to assemble all the various encampments to join forces and fight the Saviors, is the show finally doing things right again, or is this a case of being too predictable? The A.V. Club’s Alex McCown-Levy and Josh Modell know one thing for certain: The Walking Dead is still doing a great job of finding new ways to kill zombies.
