Despite clocking in very low on the network’s “decapitated heads” and “robot sex” metrics, Issa Rae’s comedy Insecure managed to be one of HBO’s 2016 success stories. Now, Issa, Molly, and Lawrence are on their way back to TV, with the network releasing a teaser for Insecure season 2.
Going off the short promo, it doesn’t look like things are going to get any easier for Rae’s character, Issa Dee, as she awkwardly moves across social tableaux declaring her “hella confused,” “hella tempted,” and “hella lit.” (Also, she gets a quick reminder not to have an existential crisis in the middle of L.A. traffic.) Insecure returns for its second season on July 23.
