It’s a Detroiters twofer
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Thursday, June 21. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Detroiters (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.): Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson kick of their second season in the Motor City with back-to-back episodes. That’s twice the charmingly cheesy ads, twice the hyperlocal references, twice the surreal newscasts from actual Detroit news legend Mort Crim, twice the goofy BFF hijinks, twice the Sheila, and twice the guest stars (including a hard rocking Tim Meadows). It’s a selection of twofers befitting one of the city’s proudest sons, Mr. Alan.
Wild card
Match Game (ABC, 9 p.m.): The third season of ABC’s fill-in-the-blanks game show revival also counts as a Reno 911! reunion—in addition to modern-day Match Game all-stars Caroline Rhea and Constance Zimmer, tonight’s panel includes erstwhile Reno Sheriff’s Department officers Thomas Lennon and Niecy Nash.
