It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (FXX, 10 p.m.): When we last checked in with everyone’s favorite dirtbags, one of the dirtbags in question had given up the dirtbag life and abandoned his stool in Paddy’s Pubs for a life of fatherhood in North Dakota. Will Dennis (Glenn Howerton) show his face in this premiere? No idea. Will the gang get up to no good without him? You can bet your damn ass they will. This 13th (!) season premiere is called “The Gang Makes Paddy’s Great Again,” and a synopsis promises “a life-like sex doll that looks exactly like Dennis,” so hey, that’s on the horizon, and so is Dennis Perkins’ coverage.

Wild card

Ozark (Netflix): On Friday, Netflix’s Jason Bateman and Laura Linney-starring drug cartel drama returned for its second season. The first season wasn’t exactly Erik Adams’ favorite thing—he called it “unrelentingly dour” and “derivative and lethargic,” so, not a rave. Still, the roster of talent on board, which includes Bateman, Linney, The Americans alum Julia Garner, and the new-on-the-scene Janet McTeer, remains impressive, so maybe it’s worth another look.
