It’s anyone’s guess how Atlanta Robbin’ Season will end

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Thursday, May 10. All times are Eastern.

Atlanta (FX, 10 p.m.): As we understand it, Donald Glover has a tremendously big movie coming out soon, on top of the Childish Gambino video that launched a thousand takes following its surprise release in the earliest hours of this past Sunday. But don’t let either of those projects overshadow the conclusion of Robbin’ Season, the alternately hilarious and terrifying (and always beguiling) second round of Atlanta. How’s it all going to end? Well, after Alfred (Brian Tyree Henry) hinted that he might be firing Earn (Glover), you might’ve expected the show to deal with the immediate consequences of that rift—if you were completely unfamiliar with Atlanta, which instead threw a curveball flashback episode that demonstrated just how long (and in what ways) Al’s been looking out for his cousin. And since we all know the official episode synopsis will only deepen the mystery of what’s going to happen tonight, let’s just sit back, relax, watch the Robbin’ Season finale, and check in with Joshua Alston’s review after it all wraps up.

The Big Bang Theory (CBS, 8 p.m.): One thing we can guarantee tonight: Sheldon Cooper and Amy Farrah Fowler are getting hitched. Another guarantee: This television event will send some viewers into a tizzy, while an equally large, equally loud contingent will curse the name of a largely anodyne popular entertainment. And then it’ll disappear for a few months, and return in the fall, the cycle of enthusiasm and anger born anew, forever and ever, bazinga.
