The first Fate Of The Furious trailer revealed that Vin Diesel had betrayed the family and joined up with Charlize Theron’s high-tech terrorist villain for some reason, and this Super Bowl trailer digs into the other big twist from that last teaser: the Fast & Furious team has to join forces with Jason Statham this time around, reprising his role as the evil (formerly evil?) Deckard Shaw from Furious 7. Plot aside, though, the most exciting part of this trailer was when everybody was driving cars while on the run from a submarine. That’s god damn crazy, and it makes us wonder how the serious could possibly get any more ridiculous after this point, but doubting The Fast And The Furious has never been a good idea.
Anyway, The Fate Of The Furious will be in theaters on April 14.
